Healing your metabolism is an important part of any weight loss journey but also an important for your overall health! It’s not about being super skinny, it’s about being super healthy! THREE things you should pay attention to if you want to have a healthy metabolism are FIBER, PROBIOTICS & EXERCISE!
Fiber keeps your colon healthy and reduces your body’s absorption of toxins. Aim for at least 35 grams of fiber daily with plenty of water. If you can’t get all your fiber from whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, consider a fiber supplement. I use and love Digestive Health for a fiber supplement when I need it!
Probiotics support beneficial bacteria in your digestive tract. Good bacteria enable your body to absorb nutrients more efficiently! We are not what we eat, we are what we digest and absorb. Good bacteria naturally decrease with age, but you can increase it by eating a variety of fruits veggies legumes, nuts and seeds daily and supplementing with probiotics. I get both prebiotic and probiotics and protein in my daily superfood supplement Shakeology.
Exercise like HIIT Cardio & Weights are the best types of exercise for metabolism! HIIT Cardio burns more calories in less time and brings more oxygen to your blood which helps metabolism! Muscles burns more calories and boosts metabolism so if you’re struggling to lose weight, start thinking about building more muscle! My absolute favorite HIIT Cardio & Weight Training home fitness program is called MUSCLE BURNS FAT! It has awesome short 25-35 minute workouts and is a 6 week long challenge! Get the program and join my virtual bootcamp HERE! I got incredible results with Muscle Burns Fat and so did the women in my bootcamp!

Remember, AGE Is just a number! I am 41 years old and have had 2 kids and 2 c-sections and have been out of shape and overweight and have made incredible progress in my own journey. If I can do it, so can you! With a few tweaks to our nutrition and the right kind of workouts, you can lose weight and get fit at any age!!! Keep showing up, move your body, nourish your body and celebrate the small wins along the way!
